About the book (from Goodreads)
I despise him. I despise everything about this business-stealing man who has eyes the color of hot chocolate and a perfectly sun-kissed tan I can’t stop thinking about...Like I said, despise.
Having grown up with a mom who had more boyfriends than a flower has petals, I have zero fairy tale aspirations of true love. It doesn't exist. But when a dreamy man with the perfect smile and a propensity for volunteering keeps running into me, I start to think maybe I was wrong all along.
That is until I realize he's the scumbag that stole my flower shop right out from under me.
I know I should be the bigger person. Move on. But somehow, revenge seems the only answer. Pity, revenge seems to be showing me that Austin might actually be a good person instead of the villain I painted him to be.
In the end, it's all just business though, isn't it?”
A laugh-out-loud, enemies to lovers romance that is full of all the sarcasm and swoons!
My Review
I'm trying to read as many romance novels as possible in February, and I'm reading Dowell's Wedding Business Series as a part of that. I can solidly say that I enjoyed this book more than the first!
The Good Things
Yet again, Dowell has the perfect title and the perfect cover that fits not just the genre but of the entire story.
The characters are in-depth, especially the main character. Haley has a tendency to be super awkward at times (especially around Austin), and I am here for it.
I love the drama in this one because it involves vengeance, despite the character's CLEAR chemistry. I cheered for Haley so many times when she was enacting her plan.
Austin's character. You WANT to hate him so much for what he did to Haley, but seriously, you just end up adoring him. What the heck, Dowell?
The Bad Things
Certain of Austin's job seemed a bit far-fetched, but I'm not in the restaurant industry. Do owners really pass off SO MUCH of the work to others?
Only pointing it out because not everyone LIKES the cheesy aspects of romantic comedies. I, however, enjoyed the clean and corny parts. of this story, and can't wait to read my arc copy of the third book, On Schedule!
My Final Rating: ☆☆☆☆/5
This book is currently available for purchase and is on Kindle Unlimited.
After being given access to this arc, I decided to read the other standalone books in Summer Dowell's The Wedding Business series first!

Feel free to leave comments concerning how you liked -or didn't like, no judgment here- it! If you don't have access, let me know if this is on your tbr! I would love to hear your thoughts!
